Landscape company will be selling plants at town fairs to raise money
for local non-profit organizations
MIDLAND PARK, N.J. – September 14, 2011 — Jacobsen Landscape Design and
Construction will be a familiar site around northwest Bergen County this
fall as it participates in fundraising activities at a host of area town
fairs in September and October. In addition to providing information and
landscaping tips to fair attendees, Jacobsen Landscape will be selling mums
in support of local non-profit organizations.
On Saturday, September 24, the Jacobsen Landscape team will be selling mums
at both the Franklin Lakes Town Fair and the Eastern Christian Children’s
Retreat 46th Annual Country Fair in Wyckoff. The Franklin Lakes Fair is held
at the Municipal Field on DeKorte Drive and the Children’s Retreat Fair
takes place at the Wyckoff Municipal Field.
Proceeds from mums sold at the Franklin Lakes Fair will be donated to
CityGreen, a non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the
establishment of urban farms and gardens in northern New Jersey’s cities,
while the beneficiary of the Wyckoff event sales will be the Eastern
Christian Children’s Retreat.
On Saturday, October 1, the company will have participate in Allendale Day
in Allendale. The proceeds from mums that are sold at this day-long event
will be used to support the town’s Fell House.
Finally, on Sunday, October 2, Jacobsen Landscape will be at the Glen Rock
Autumn Craft Street Fair. All proceeds from mum sales at that event will go
to Hearts and Crafts Grief Counseling, a children’s and adult grief
counseling service located in Ramsey. The Glen Rock Fair is sponsored by the
Glen Rock Chamber of Commerce and takes place on Rock Road (near Maple
