Library to Host Two Landscape Seminars
In March, Michael Hartman, a design consultant with Jacobsen Landscape Design will present two programs at the library.
On Thursday, March 4 at 7 p.m., he will present "Principles of Landscape Design."
The program is aimed at helping the do-it-yourself landscaper understand the best and most productive ways to design and maintain one's yard.
On Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m., Hartman will return to lead a discussion on "Creating a Herb Garden."
This session is aimed at beginners and experienced gardeners and will teach the basics of herb garden design. It will also focus on how to choose and care for the proper mix of herbs for cooking and other household and personal uses.
Hartman has been a designer at Jacobsen for the past four years. His design work has been featured in New Jersey's 201 Home Magazine's Spring 2009 issue on "Five Amazing Backyards." He was recently the recipient of a state-level landscape design award.
