Jacobsen Landscape Joins National SnowCare for Troops Movement to Support Local Military Families this Snow Season

Jacobsen Landscape Design and Construction, of Midland Park, has joined ranks with Project EverGreen's SnowCare for Troops program, a new community-based program to provide free snow removal services for military families with a spouse or family member serving in the armed forces.

Jacobsen Landscape will participate with snowplow and landscape professionals from across the country that donate their services and time to ease the burden on military families seeking help on the home front. SnowCare for Troops is a national program underwritten by THE BOSS Snowplow.
"We're proud to support the SnowCare for Troops program and lend a hand to help our local military families. The last thing they should be worrying about is digging out after the next snowstorm," says Glenn Jacobsen, CLP, founder and owner of Jacobsen Landscape, whose Design Center is in Midland Park and who recently opened a Landscape Gallery in Saddle River. "This is just one small way that we can say thank you for their dedication to country and military service."

Before the first snow flies, Jacobsen is urging interested military families to register for participation in the SnowCare for Troops program by calling Jacobsen Landscape at 201-891-1199. They can also visit the Project EverGreen website at www.projectevergreen.com/scft or call toll free at 1-888-611-2956. Participation is limited.
"With one spouse left to manage all the household duties, in-kind service donations by professionals and volunteers like Jacobsen Landscape does so much to reduce family stress and show in a tangible way our support for America's military families," explains Project EverGreen Executive Director Den Gardner.

Along with the participation of Jacobsen Landscape, there are many opportunities for the community to get involved, including loaning snow removal equipment to volunteers or groups, and donating money, transportation or gas cards to offset snow removal and maintenance costs.

The new SnowCare for Troops program joins the four-year program, GreenCare for Troops, managed by Project EverGreen that has already provided free lawn and landscape services to thousands of military families. This program now has more than 10,000 military families in its database and is supported by nearly 3,000 green industry professionals and volunteers.
