Mum was the word for area resident Cathy Compel and Jacobsen Landscape Design and Construction at the Franklin Lakes Town Fair on September 25. Compel was among the dozens of people who purchased mums from the landscape company, with the proceeds going to City Green, a local non-profit organization dedicated to facilitating the establishment of urban farms and gardens in Northern New Jersey’s cities to enrich the lives of inner city residents, while cultivating education in public health, nutrition and the environment. Jacobsen Landscape also participated in town fairs in Wyckoff, Glen?Rock and Allendale in recent weeks, with all proceeds from sales of mums being donated to local charities.
