The foundation of every outstanding landscape is an excellent design. Our team of landscape architects, designers, horticulturists, masons, irrigation and lighting crews have the experience and training to handle all aspects of a landscaping project, no matter what the size.
Throughout the design process, we work in close partnership with you to ensure you are fully satisfied with the final plans before the work commences. And as site work is being done, our construction crews work under the supervision of our design staff to ensure that the finished landscape not only meets but exceeds your expectations.
During The First Visit, you will meet with one of our designers to discuss your goals and vision for your property and determine the scope of your project by developing a rough budget and timeline. While we are doing The Groundwork on your preliminary design, spend some time getting inspired and brainstorming some elements you’d like to include by utilizing resources like our photo portfolio, which offers photos from some of our work in and around Bergen County, New Jersey.
When you reconvene with your designer for The Conceptual Meeting & Preliminary Design at our Design Center & Display Gardens, you will have the benefit of walking through our outdoor showroom and viewing sample materials. This location offers full-scale examples of our work, including a varied selection of pavers, retaining walls and plantings. By the end of this meeting, you will have reviewed the general layout of the design and your landscape project will be on it's way to full realization.
Once at the Final Presentation, your designer will assemble all of the layout considerations, materials, and features onto a final print and prepare a detailed proposal. This document will be detailed enough to allow for both you and the production crew scheduled to build your project to get started bringing it to life.
This plan will be the blueprint that Jacobsen’s construction crews use during the Installation of your project. All of the shapes, sizes and material specifications are laid out so that the installation crews can hit the ground running as all of the concepts, designs, and conversations begin to take shape.
Once the design and construction phases of your project have reached completion, your landscape's development has just begun. As the plantings mature and the design's vision approaches realization, our Total Property Care will meet the continuously changing needs of your dynamic outdoor living space.
